What we measured

In the 107 most recent public TikTok videos we reviewed on 12 July 2026, we counted 103 different accounts and 1,763,600,000 combined views at the time we looked.

Creative direction

Use the hook to transition between your past and present self or loved ones.
Looks like a fit for: Gen Z and Millennials documenting life milestones
✓ Sync the first beat of the chorus to a major visual transition
✓ Use a text overlay that poses a question about time or love
✓ Include at least 3 distinct time-stamped clips
✓ Use high-quality archival footage for the 'past' portion
✗ Don't use the sound past the 20s mark as the energy drops
✗ Don't use low-resolution, blurry photos for the 'then' clips
✗ Don't make the edit too fast; let the lyrics breathe for emotional impact
Suggestions our AI drew from the videos it reviewed. They are ideas, not rules, and we make no claim about which will perform better.
