What we measured

In the 300 most recent public TikTok videos we reviewed on 1 September 2026, we counted 288 different accounts and 577,644,500 combined views at the time we looked.

Creative direction

Use the sound to make something mundane look absolutely cursed.
Looks like a fit for: Horror editors and liminal space enthusiasts
✓ Cut to the beat at the 0:05 and 0:10 marks
✓ Use a VHS or 'grainy' filter on your footage
✓ Include a 'POV' text overlay at the start
✓ End with a sudden cut to black
✗ Don't use high-definition, bright footage
✗ Don't use the sound for upbeat or happy content
✗ Don't let the video run past 16 seconds
